Firefox Shortcuts

So, I accidentally closed a tab in firefox. I was just going to open a new tab, then use the history menu to get the current page back. However, as I was trying to open a new tab using Ctrl+T, I accidentally hit Ctrl+Shift+T. To my surprise, the latter command undoes a tab close. So it re-opened the tab that I had accidentally closed in the first place. Another very useful command in Firefox. Here are several other useful keyboard shortcuts:

  • F5 or Ctrl+R - Reloads page
  • Ctrl+F5 or Ctrl+Shift+R - Reloads page and overwrites cache
  • Ctrl+U - View Source
  • Ctrl+W - Close Tab
  • Ctrl+Page Down - Next Tab
  • Ctrl+Page Up - Previous Tab (You can also use Ctrl+Tab/Ctrl+Shift+Tab to move through Tabs, however some web pages overwrite that command on their site)
  • Ctrl+L - Location Bar
  • Ctrl+K - Search Bar
